I’m writing from Canada, having immigrated here from Hong Kong for many years. My academic background is in Sociology and Teaching English as a Second language. I write about popular culture in my review blog. Maybe the students in your Consuming Popular Culture course would find it fresh, and hopefully insightful, to read reviews of popular culture from another perspective. I’ve recently watched Lust Caution and written a review on it in my blog. You may want to read what a HK/Canadian viewer has to say about it.
